In this video from the 2016 OpenFabrics Workshop, Ken Raffenetti from Argonne National Laboratory presents: Status of OFI Support in MPICH. "MPICH is a high performance and widely portable implementation of the Message Passing Interface (MPI) standard. MPICH and its derivatives power many of the fastest supercomputers in the world. MPICH supports multiple network APIs by way of an abstract network module ("netmod") interface. In this session, I will give an update on OFI netmod support in the current stable MPICH 3.2.x series. Additionally, I will give a preview of the MPICH version 3.3 design (scheduled for release mid-2017), which will significantly expand the netmod interface in order to better exploit high-level network APIs such as OFI."
